TOP SECRET! Barcelona’s TOP 7 places to enjoy spring

Best places of Barcelona to enjoy spring

Slowly the temperatures are rising again, the days are getting longer. We finally wake up from hibernation and want to get out again, get active! And the same goes for Barcelona! Especially in the sun it is really warm, in the shade still a bit cool. That's why we want to present you our 7 favorite places for spring time - ideal to enjoy every ray of sunshine!

TOP 1: Watching the hustle and bustle of Plaça dels Àngels in front of the famous MACBA

All day long this square in front of Barcelona's most famous art museum is irradiated with sunshine. It never gets boring, because lots of skaters show their coolest stunts. Get something delicious to eat or a beer and just watch the action!

TOP 2: Cheers! - For a tasty, homemade vermut in Taverna Seco

POBLE SEC (Passeig de Montjuïc, 74, 08004 Barcelona)

The best time to stop at Taverna Seco is between 11 am and 3 pm. The terrace is completely flooded with sun. It is quiet and therefore perfect to enjoy a glass of vermut. On the weekend, especially Sundays, it gets really busy. So be prepared to stand!

TOP 3: Enjoy the expanse of the sea at the Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents

One of our favorite places! Located just behind the impressive W Hotel, it is one of the most beautiful places in the city for us to enjoy the sea and waves in peace. Seek a place right at the front of the sea and just listen! Make sure you bring something to wear, it's windy here. If you fancy a longer walk, discover the new walkway that is being developed.

TOP 4: Relax with a delicious coffee in Bar del Convent

BORN (Carrer del Comerç, 36, 08003 Barcelona)

Located in the courtyard of a former convent, Bar del Convent is the perfect, idyllic oasis. Here you can enjoy your coffee in peace with a good piece of carrot cake - without getting disturbed by cars or human noise.

Attention: There is no sun here! Still, it's just so nice.

TOP 5: Best Paella near the beach in La Mar Salada

BARCELONETA (Passeig de Joan de Borbó, 58-59, 08003 Barcelona)

Located directly at Barceloneta's main boulevard, La Mar Salada is one of the few paella restaurants in this area, which is still family-run and offers really good paella for fair prices. Recommended by heart by our local expert Pepitú!

TOP 6: Enjoy reading a book in the nice inner courtyard at Cosmo La Central

EIXAMPLE (Carrer de Mallorca, 237, 08008 Barcelona)

This café can be found in the bookstore La Central and what is special is its terrace in the inner courtyard. It is the ideal place to devote yourself to a book while having a delicious coffee.

Attention: Only some sun gets through, but it is still the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Eixample.

TOP 7: A beer at Bar Canigó

GRACIA (Carrer de Verdi, 2, 08012 Barcelona)

It does not really get any more local ... Bar Canigó is one of the oldest bars in the charming district of Grácia with a large terrace on beautiful Plaça Revolució. Sun comes here until late afternoon. Especially in the evening it gets really lively here!

Have a wonderful time and enjoy the good weather and lovely places!
